This is usually caused by tooth decay. Toothache can be felt in many ways, and it can come and go or be constant. Toothache can also be caused by infections, injury or loss of a tooth.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>What causes toothache?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Toothache occurs from inflammation of the central portion of the tooth called pulp. The pulp contains nerve endings that become very sensitive to pain. Inflammation of the pulp or \u2018pulpitis\u2019 may be caused by dental cavities, trauma, and also infection.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Symptoms of a toothache <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The symptoms and pain can vary from mild to severe depending on each individual\u2019s experience. Many people experience tender areas such as a tender jaw, ear pain, sinus problems, headaches and even occasional heart problems.
